Mr. and Mrs. Paul Vogel Jr., Loyalsock Township, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 31, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Ralph Hartzell in the Little Chapel of the Good Shepherd at Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport, where they are members.
Mrs. Vogel, the former Connie E. Stugard, is a native of South Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Evelyn and Delos Stugard. She retired from the office of Dr. Carl Albright.

Mr. Vogel is the son of the late Elinor and Paul Vogel. He retired from the former Bethlehem Steel Co. and also was a self-employed electrical contractor.
They are the parents of two sons, Francis P., Williamsport, and Matthew L., Harrisburg.
There are four grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a surprise dinner, hosted by their children, was held.
