Dog-friendly 5K set in Lewisburg
LEWISBURG - A dog-friendly 5K walk-run will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 22 on the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail.
Participants must park at the Brook Park lot, 220 Brook Park Circle. The race start will be on the BVRT near Vargo Outdoors. Racers will make their way from the parking area to the start no later than 9:15 a.m. Participants must register before Friday at go lara.org.
Montoursville library to hold used book sale
The Friends of the W.B. Konkle Memorial Library will sponsor the semi-annual used book sale at the library from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 348 Broad St., Montoursville.

Mini-golf event set Saturday at Hoopla's
PENNSDALE - The Children's Miracle Network will hold the first Miracle Miniature Golf Tournament from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Hoopla's family Fun Center, 1277 Lycoming Mall Circle.
Teams can sign up to play in one of two flights, the first starting at 10 a.m. and the second at noon. All proceeds will benefit the Children's Miracle Network.
Church to hold annual auction
Mainesburg United Methodist Church will hold its annual auction beginning at 10 a.m. Sept. 15 at the church.
