Mr. and Mrs. James F. Gilbert, State College, formerly of Jersey Shore, Williamsport and Montoursville, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 1, 2012.
Mrs. Gilbert is the former Nancy B. Gilbert.
They are both retired.

They are the parents of a daughter, Barbara G. Davis, and a son, Michael J.
There are six grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a dinner party, hosted by their children and grandchildren, was held at The Tavern Restaurant, State College. A trip to the Western U.S. national parks also is being planed.
