The Thomas T. Taber Museum of the Lycoming County Historical Society will be hosting The Dansbachers, a musical group that specializes in German oompah and polkas, in the Victorian gardens of the museum, at 7 p.m. Thursday
It is free and open to the public. The gardens are located in back of the building.
The Dansbachers are centered in Danville, formed from the Danville Legion Band. They play extensively in central Pa., delighting audiences with their blend of familiar tunes, including the often-requested "Pennsylvania Polka."
Following the concert, an old-fashioned ice cream social will be held with ice cream donated by Schneider Valley Farms.
Guests are requested to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
A freewill donation will be accepted. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the community room of the museum. For other activities of the museum, please visit our website at www.tabermuseum.org.
