Marine Corps group to meet
The Williamsport Detachment Marine Corps League will hold its will hold their monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the detachment headquarters, 507 Cemetery St.

Antiques appraisal set Saturday
Dr. Lori Verderame, Sun-Gazette columnist and appraiser on "Auction Kings" on Discovery Channel, will present a free antiques appraisal show at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Williamsport Crosscutters game at Bowman Field.
Appraisals are free with a game ticket to see the Crosscutters. One appraisal per person.
Quilt guild meets Thursday
PENNSDALE - The Susquehanna Valley Quilt Guild will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road.
In addition to holding Game Night, installation of officers for the 2012-13 year will be held.
Members are asked to bring their BOMs, "Raggedy Bricks," and renew their memberships for the coming year. The guild is open to new members and guests are welcome.
