Gregory J. Henderson of Lancaster, Pa., died suddenly at the age of 50 on Sunday, July 29, 2012. He was formerly from the Williamsport area and attended Loyalsock Township High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force before pursuing a career in the culinary arts.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Doris Henderson of Williamsport; two brothers, William C. Henderson of Williamsport and Mark D. Henderson of Shamokin, Pa.; six sisters, Deborah A. Yeager, Kulpmont, Pa., Joan M. Burgess, California, Mary B. Fiorini, Maryland, Brenda A. Powlus, Ephrata, Pa., Dianne T. Fuller, Williamsport, Jennifer J. Lyons, Williamsport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Greg was a well known and highly respected chef in the Williamsport and Lancaster areas. He was trained in Las Vegas, Nev., and several years ago worked as a chef at the Peter Herdic House in Williamsport, Pa. He was most recently affiliated with The D&S Brasserie in Lancaster. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 408 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, Pa. (Parking lot is located in the rear along Cherry Alley.) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Greg's name to the SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701 or LAPS.
