MANSFIELD - Brett A. Leonard, 26, of 148 Beers Road, Lawrenceville, was charged by state police for allegedly passing a bad check at the Citizen's and Northern Bank in Richmond Township on Nov. 9, 2011.
According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office, Leonard wrote and passed a bad check for $600 at the bank. The teller mistakenly gave him the money, which he allegedly used to shop at Wal-Mart, police said.
He was issued a summons to appear.
