RENOVO - A traffic switch will take place Thursday on a 300-foot bridge on Route 144, about 10 miles north of Renovo.
Vehicle traffic will be moved to the newly constructed, northbound side of the bridge and the alternating traffic pattern, controlled by temporary traffic signals, will remain. An 11-foot width restriction also remains in effect.
Once the traffic switch is complete, crews will begin work on the southbound side of the bridge. The bridge spans Kettle Creek in Leidy Township. Other work on the bridge includes paving of approaches and miscellaneous construction.
The state Department of Transportation expects work to be completed by November, depending on the weather.
LTT Trucking, of North Bend, is the contractor on the $1 million project.
