Announcement has been made of the engagement of Hope Baker and Kevin McGowan, both of Williamsport.
An Aug. 4 wedding at the Genetti Hotel is being planned.
Baker is the daughter of Carol and Emmett Baker, Williamsport. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1993.

McGowan is the son of Daniel N. McGowan, Williamsport, and the late Linda McGowan. He graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 1989 and is employed by Wheels of Williamsport Inc., Montoursville.
