Mr. and Mrs. James Eck, Williamsport, observed their 65th wedding anniversary July 19, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. John B. Meyers at Immaculate Conception Church, Bastress, where they are members.
Mrs. Eck, the former Irene Marion Steinbacher, is a native of Bastress. She is the daughter of the late Dora and Joseph Steinbacher. She attended Immaculate Conception School.

Mr. Eck, a native of Renovo, is the son of the late Mable and Herman Eck. He graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1943. He retired in 1990 from Textron Lycoming and remains active at J.H. Eck and Son Fruit Farm.
They are the parents of one son, Larry, Williamsport, and 10 daughters, Patty Pfirman, Denise Boring, Doris Bush, Roxanne Askey, Cheryl Palski, Tammy Packer and Kim Corson, all of Williamsport; Diana Persun and Evelyn Rall, both of Jersey Shore; and Mary Lou O'Neill, Montoursville.
There are 57 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a family gathering was hosted by their children and grandchildren at the family farm on July 21.
