Marion H. Shearer

Marion H. Shearer, 89, of Williamsport passed away July 5, 2012, at her home.

Born Sept. 7, 1922, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Frank L. and Louise M. (Usmar) Snyder. She was a lifelong member of St. Boniface Church.

Marion was preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence F. Neidig Sr. who passed away in 1970; Lewis A. Shearer, her second husband, who passed away in 1999; a daughter, Florence A. Neidig who passed away in 1959; and two grandsons, Frank and Larry.

She is survived by a son, Lawrence F. Neidig Jr. (Sally) of Frederick, Md.; a daughter, Carol E. Neidig-Litzelman of Liberty, Pa.; six grandchildren, James Frey of Whittaker, N.C., Crystal Frey of Liberty, Pa., Laurie (Neidig) Dunham of Erie, Pa., Florence Neidig and Janet (Neidig) McCann of Beaver Falls, Pa., and Lawrence F. Neidig, III of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Marion and her first husband, Lawrence were owners of the Boulevard Caf on Washington Boulevard until it was destroyed by fire in 1972.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 9 at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Montoursville Cemetery. Visitation will be held 8:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
