Mr. and Mrs. Harry S. Boyer, Montoursville, observed their 40th wedding anniversary July 1, 2012.
They were married by the Revs. Robert Kulzer and R. Stanton Williams at Faith Tabernacle Church.
They are members of Community Baptist Church, Montoursville.

Mrs. Boyer, the former Karen N. Smith, is a native of Linden. She is the daughter of Helen Smith and the late Lee Smith. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1970. She retired from Montoursville Area School District as a bus driver and is employed by Community Baptist Church as secretary.
Mr. Boyer, a native of Montoursville, is the son of the late Helen and James Boyer. He graduated from Montoursville High School in 1968 and from Penn State University in 1972. He retired, after 40 years of service, from Montoursville Area School District as an industrial arts teacher and is employed as an aviation instructor.
They are the parents of one daughter, Heather Garton, Camdenton, Mo.; and two sons, Mark, Hughesville; and Aaron, Raleigh, N.C.
There are six grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a celebration hosted by their children is being planned for July 9.
