Seven are homeless after a fire at this 1162 Memorial Ave. apartment building just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday. City Fire Chief C. Dean Heinbach said an elderly resident was to be taken to Williamsport Regional Medical Center for smoke inhalation. “We had reports of entrapment,” he said, “but they were all out upon (our) arrival.” The cause of the fire is under investigation.
