Jamie Engel Salvucci and Staff Sgt. Joshua David Distelhorst, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012.
Monsignor Stephen McGough and the Rev. Thomas Miller officiated at the ceremony held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pittsburgh.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the Shooting Lodge at Fox Chapel Golf Club, Pittsburgh, and a reception was held at the Fox Chapel Golf Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mary and Warren "WJ" Choate, Montoursville. She graduated from Loyalsock Township High School in 2005 and received a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minor in international business from Penn State University in 2009.
Distelhorst is the son of Sandra Distelhorst, Racine, Ohio. He graduated from Southern High School, Racine, in 2000, and received an associate degree in fitness management from Hocking College, Nelsonville, Ohio, in 2004. He joined the Army in 2004 and was with the 82nd Airborne from 2005 to 2008. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2006 to 2007 and was stationed in Iraq for 15 months. He has served with the New York City Recruiting battalion since 2008. He is employed by the Army as station commander in Elmhurst, N.Y.
Matron of honor was Lindsay Naporano, Providence, R.I, sister of the bride.
Maid of honor was Isabella Salvucci, Pittsburgh, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Lindsay Pfleegor, St. Louis, Mo.; Lauren Mahonski, South Williamsport; and Melissa Grieco, New York City.
Flower girl was Siena Salvucci, Newport Beach, Calif., niece of the bride.
Best man was Brandon Hill, Racine.
Ushers were Jamie Baker, Racine; Joseph V. Salvucci Jr., Pittsburgh, brother of the bride; and Patrick Sence, Berlin, Ohio.
Following a trip to Thailand, the couple is residing in San Antonio, Texas.
