Announcement has been made of the engagement of Samantha L. Hobbs and Kristopher W. Sampsell, both of Williamsport.
A May 2014 wedding in Williamsport is being planned.
Hobbs is the daughter of Brenda Hobbs, Temperance, Mich., and the late Ronald Hobbs. She graduated from Bedford High School, Temperance, in 2005 and received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Misericordia University, Dallas, in 2010. She is employed by Williamsport Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse.

Sampsell is the son of Kimberly A. and Keith E. Sampsell, Williamsport. He graduated from South Williamsport Area High School in 2006 and received a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in management from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2010. He is employed by Wegmans as a service team leader.
