Mr. and Mrs. Carleton "Carty" Wooster, Roaring Branch, are observing their 72nd wedding anniversary today, July 1, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. McIlway in Wellsboro. They are members of Newelltown Methodist Church, Roaring Branch.
Mrs. Wooster, the former Eleanor McIlwain, is a native of Leolyn. She is the daughter of the late Lulu and Burt McIlwain. She graduated from Canton High School in 1936 and attended Mansfield University. She retired in 1983 from Canton Area School District as an elementary school teacher.

Mr. Wooster, a native of Leroy, is the son of the late Ina and Carlyle Wooster. He attended Canton High School and was a self-employed carpenter and farmer.
They are the parents of one son, Lawrence "Larry," Gillett, and one daughter, Dianne Spencer, Roaring Branch.
There are five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
