Announcement has been made of the engagement of Kristin Hartley and Robert Bachman, both of Williamsport.
An Aug. 5 wedding in Williamsport is being planned.
Hartley is the daughter of Judy and Timothy Hartley, South Williamsport. She graduated from South Williamsport Area High School in 1997 and received an associate degree in general studies from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2000. She is employed by Christopher and Banks, Pennsdale, as assistant manager.

Bachman is the son of Nanette and Gary Bachman, Columesville. He graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School in 1991. He is employed by FTS International as a field safety trainer.
