LIBERTY - "Sammy's Supermarket Sweep," a popular event at the annual Liberty Blockhouse Festival, will be back next weekend, June 23-24, with the drawing scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. to determine who will get to run through the store on Sunday stuffing as many items in a shopping cart as possible in 45 seconds.
Sweep tickets are $5 each or five for $20 and can be purchased at Sammy's Market or from any Blockhouse Festival organizer.
They also will be sold at the Liberty Ballpark, where most other activities of the festival will be taking place.
The winner is limited to only two of any item, and must keep the shopping cart with them through the event.
