Mr. and Mrs. Walter Overdorf observed their 60th wedding anniversary June 16, 2012.
They were married in Winchester, Va., and are members of Avis United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Overdorf, the former Patricia Sementelli, is the daughter of the late Philomena (Grande) and John Sementelli, Lock Haven. She retired from GTE Sylvania and also is a long-time member of the Avis Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

Mr. Overdorf is the son of the late Grace (Rishel) and Russell Overdorf, Loganton. He retired from West Co., Jersey Shore, and is a life member of the Avis American Legion and served in the Coast Guard during World War II.
They are the parents of three daughters, Donna Gilmore, Mackeyville; Joni Merrick, Alexandria, Va.; and Loretta Myers, Avis; and two sons, Dennis, Des Moines, Iowa, and John, Avis.
There are 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a family celebration is being planned.
