MACKEYVILLE - An 18-year-old girl died Wednesday night after she suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon when her car slammed into a large tree along Mackeyville Road.
Cara L. Day, of Howard, died shortly after 7 p.m. last night at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, according to hospital staff.
Day was taken by medical helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center following the crash at about 11:30 a.m.
