John M. DeArmitt, 91, of Jersey Shore, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012, at Sycamore Manor.
He was born April 8, 1921, in Altoona, the son of Marlin and Emily DeArmitt.
John was married to the former Elizabeth June Rohe, who died on May 20, 2010.

John worked as a supervisor for Bobbie Brooks and retired after several years. He enjoyed hunting small game, softball and bowling.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Jersey Shore.
He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Sue (Dennis L.) Sweely of Williamsport and Deborah Gay (David G.) Lomison of Cogan Station; three grandchildren, Damon, Patsy and Drew; also four great-grandchildren Matthew, Jakob, Zackary and Oskar.
Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, with the Rev. Helen Learn officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contributions can be made to Sycamore Manor.
Interment will follow at Jersey Shore Cemetery.
