Diane McClain Frederick, 71, of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at her residence.
She was born March 28, 1941, in Jersey Shore, the daughter of Larue G. "Albie" and June A. (Stahl) McClain.
Diane majored in art and design in college and with her true artistic gifts she became a juried crafter and an amazing doll maker.
She also used these talents to work in the florist industry for over 30 years.
Diane was employed by McCarthy's Flowers, a partner in Williamsport Flowers and finally in her own shop Sweet Evergreen in center city before retiring.
She was a member of the Williamsport Business Assoc. and donated her time and home- made creations to local charities and Women's Health organizations.
Diane is survived by her three children and seven grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Frederick Hoffman; Avery and Zane of Williamsport; Susan (Brian) McQuillen, Kaylie, Halie and Ashlynn of Cogan Station and Jon David (Lori) McCracken, Regan and Rhiannon of Mill Hall.
Diane's Life Celebration will be announced by the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd. "A Life Celebration Home," of Jersey Shore, at a later date.
