Weapon, drug charges withdrawn

All charges have been withdrawn against Dommique O. Washington, 22, of 1010 Louisa St., according to court records filed at the office of District Judge James G. Sortman.

With insufficient evidence to support their allegations, city police dropped charges of possession of a prohibitive offensive weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia against Washington.

The charges stemmed from an incident at Washington's home on March 28, police said.

Inmate faces more intimidation charges

More charges have been lodged against Lycoming County Prison inmate Raymond Douglas Richards, who was incarcerated last month on charges of intimidating and assaulting a witness in a drug case.

"I have a gun and I'm going to shoot you," Richards, 41, allegedly said to another man in the 600 block of Campbell Street on May 15, city police said. The victim in this case was not identified in court papers.

Police said no weapon actually was seen in the latest incident involving Richards, of 808 Park Ave..

Following his recent arraignment before District Judge James G. Carn on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, Richards was recommitted in lieu of an additional $8,500 bail.

Richards has been jailed since May 19 when he was arrested on charges of allegedly punching a man who testified against now-convicted drug dealer Reyes "Rico" Belle.

"You (expletive) Rico over," Richards said as he attacked the man, police said.
