The following pastoral appointment changes have been announced for the Williamsport District of the United Methodist Church, effective July 1:
Clergy moving from the district: Rev. David Brinker (Faxon-Kenmar UMC) is the new chaplain at Normandie Ridge Senior Living Center in York; Pastor Kathleen Ehrsam has been appointed to the Bethany-St. Peter's Charge in the Lewisburg District.
Clergy coming to the district: Rev. Jay Jones is coming to St. John's-Newberry UMC from the Lewisburg District, Rev. Karen Atanasoff is coming to Pine Street UMC from the Harrisburg District, Rev. Jane O'Borski is coming to the Hughesville Charge from the Lewisburg District, Pastor John Baney is coming to the Third Street/DuBoistown/Trinity Charge from the Wellsboro District, Pastor Craig Livermore has been appointed to the Muncy Valley Charge.
Clergy retiring from the district: Rev. Kraig Faust (St. John's-Newberry UMC), Rev. Michael Gardy (Muncy First UMC), Rev. Pamela Ford (Pine Street UMC, back to retirement), Rev. G. Edward (Ted) Corcelius (Hughesville Christ UMC), Rev. Charles Harris (Muncy Valley Charge, back to retirement), Rev. James Behrens (Williamsport Trinity UMC, retiring Sept. 1), Rev. Robert Pickering (Renovo Charge,- back to retirement), Rev. Gerald Wagner (Picture Rocks Parish, back to retirement), Rev. Barbara Kaetzel-Row (Hughesville Bethany UMC retired Jan. 31).
Clergy moved within the district: Rev. Arlene Beechert (district superintendent to Muncy First), Rev. Michael Swimley (Montoursville Bethel to Faxon-Kenmar), Rev. Richard Barner (Montgomery Charge to Montoursville Bethel).
Other changes within the district: Pastor Donald "Rusty" Wolfinger is the new associate pastor at Montoursville Faith UMC, Sara Bower (CLM) is now serving Picture Rocks UMC (as well as Tivoli UMC) of the Picture Rocks Parish.
