Registered nurse Judy Sullivan, director of health services at Albright LIFE (Living Independently For Elders), is the first recipient of Albright Care Services' Seneca Foote Servant Leadership Award, presented recently at Albright's annual meeting.
The Albright Care Services board conducts several programs to honor Albright employees.
The Servant Leadership Award recognizes outstanding management personnel and provides an opportunity for the trustees to meet professionals from all Albright facilities.
"When you work in the Lycoming office, not much time needs to pass before you begin to see the leadership characteristics demonstrated by Judy Sullivan. (She) is called to serve," said Executive Director, John Ressler.
The Servant Leadership Award is presented annually to one employee. Nominees demonstrate integrity, selflessness, strong communication skills, compassion and morality. Nominations then are presented to Albright's Executive Council for final selection.
The selected employee is invited to attend the annual meeting where they are honored by corporate leadership and given the opportunity to address all those in attendance. In addition, the employee receives a weekend getaway package for two as a sign of appreciation for their dedication and commitment.
