Gladys V. Foreman, 80, of Route 54, passed away on Monday morning, May 28, 2012, at her home following a three-year battle with COPD.
She was born Oct. 15, 1931, in Anthony Township, a daughter of the late Thomas B. and Mary (Ball) Harris. On June 15, 1956, she married Wilson J. Foreman, who survives. The couple lived in Selinsgrove before moving to Turbotville in 1976.
She was a graduate of North-Mont High School, Turbotville.
Her employment history included Philco, Watsontown, J.G. Ott Packaging, Selinsgrove, Phillips Industries, Selinsgrove, Cabinet Industries, Danville, and Pennsylvania House, Allenwood.
Gladys was a quiet and private person but had the spark of a true redhead. She enjoyed horseback and motorcycle riding, gardening and watching QVC. She was a seamstress who designed and made her own clothing. She was a fan of country music, both playing and listening to it. Gladys was a terrific cook and baker and was known for her raisin-filled cookies. The great joys of her life were her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Kathy Foreman and fiance Wayne E. Myers, of Muncy; two sons, Thomas (Joey) Foreman and wife Cathy and Tim Foreman and companion Sheryl, all of Selinsgrove; four grandchildren, Tim, Thom, Zack and Cierra Foreman; two great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Brianna; one sister, Blanche Wilson, of Turbotville; and two brothers, Chet and Stanley Harris, both of Turbotville.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Lucas and Judy Faust; one brother, Thomas Harris Jr.; and her favorite dog, her black lab, Brandy.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, with the Rev. James Taylor, SUN Home Hospice chaplain, officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
