125th anniversary celebration
Loyalsock-Bethel United Methodist Church, 717 Kimble Hill, will celebrate its 125th anniversary. Today, the church will host a festival from 2-7 p.m. including food, ice cream and activities for children. A service of worship and celebration will be held from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Sunday with a free lunch following the worship service.

Summer services to begin
CARSONTOWN - Carsontown Community Church will begin summer services at 9:30 a.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. The nondenominational church has been serving the Little Pine Creek area for more than 100 years. The church is along Little Pine Creek Road, Route 4001, three miles southwest of English Center or eight miles northeast of Waterville.
JUNE 2
Indoor yard sale
Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, 31 N. Loyalsock Ave. in Montoursville, will hold an indoor yard sale with lunch available from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Baked good also will be available.
Spring cleaning giveaway
New Life Presbyterian Church, 1500 Hidden Valley Drive in Montoursville, will hold its annual spring cleaning giveaway from 8-11 a.m. at the rear of the church. Everything is free, but donations will be accepted for the deaconal fund.
Community yard sale
Montoursville Brethren in Christ Church, 105 Fairview Court, will hold a community yard sale from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the church parking lot. (Rain date: June 9). The church is along Route 87, just north of Wal-Mart. Baked goods and meat masters barbecue will be available for purchase.
Turkey dinner
MUNCY - Huntersville United Methodist Church, 5263 Rabbittown Road, will hold a turkey dinner from 4-7 p.m. featuring fresh-baked turkey with all the trimmings and homemade pies and cakes. Cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children 6-12 and free for those 5 and under.
Ham loaf dinner
WATSONTOWN - Watsontown United Methodist Church, 1319 Eighth Street Drive, will hold a ham loaf dinner starting at 4 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-12, and 4 and under are free. Take-outs available. For more information, call the church office at 538-1017

Pastor installation service
Moreland Baptist Church, 118 Moreland Baptist Church Road, will hold a service of installation for its new pastor, the Rev. Bob Ingraham, and also for his wife, Beverly, the minister of worship arts, at 3:30 p.m. Speakers will include Rev. Dr. Frank Frischcorn (ABCOPAD region executive pastor), the Rev. Dale Miller (senior pastor of First Baptist in Bethlehem) and representatives from the Northumberland Association and the East Lycoming Ministerium. Special music will be provided by Tom Hallett and the Moreland Baptist worship choir. Nursery staff will be provided and the service will be followed by a meal in the fellowship hall. A free-will offering will be collected.
City native son celebrating
Glenmary Father Wil Steinbacher, a native of Williamsport and graduate of the former St. Joseph's High School, who has been a member of the Glenmary Home Missionaries for 54 years, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 9 a.m. at Holy Name Church in Nashville, Tenn.

Soup, sandwich sale
AVIS - Avis United Methodist Church, 215 Prospect St., will sell soup, sandwiches, baked goods and drinks starting 8 a.m. during Avis Community Days.
