Ruth F. Reeder, 95, of 727 Spruce St., Montoursville, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 5, 1917 in Warrensville, a daughter of William and Olive Rathmell Dangle.
Ruth was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Montoursville for 77 years, and was a charter member of the Womens Society at the church. She retired from WILQ where she worked in sales. She was a former member of the Williamsport Country Club, the Antlers Country Club and was a member of the Wheel Inn and the Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by her husband, V. Dale Reeder, in 2001, and also predeceased by her sisters, Alta Spaeth and Mary Derr.
She is survived by her sons, Gene of New York City, Robert R. of Bloomsburg, and Gary (Jean) of Montoursville; her sisters, Lois Fogleman and Lula Reeder both of Montoursville; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville, with the Rev. Larry L. Leland officiating. Interment will follow in the Montoursville Cemetery. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
