Jersey Shore students compete in national event

JERSEY SHORE - The Challenge Online Exam, which is designed to illustrate the relevance of financial topics to students was offered during Personal Finance Classes at Jersey Shore Area High School during the month of April.

The event is sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the United States Department of Education as an initiative designed to increase the financial knowledge and capability of high school youth so they can take control over their financial futures.

More than 200 students at the Jersey Shore competed in the challenge. The following students placed in the top 20th percentile nationwide: Alexis Ashby, Keri Batschelet, Isaac Boatman, Mackenzie Bomboy, Christian Getgen, Joseph Harrington, Seth Herman, Jacob Huling, Isaac Johnson, Jacob Maneval, Matthew Miller, Michael Panczyszyn, Alison Schlorff, Brianna Stetts and Taylor Winter.
