He received the Department of Medicine Scholarship award for excellence in medicine.

Zachary E. Kurtz
Zachary E. Kurtz graduated summa cum laude from Slippery Rock University on May 12 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.
He recently completed an internship on the Lummi Indian Reservation outside of Bellingham, Wash.
The son of Craig and Rhonda Kurtz, he is a 2008 graduate of Montoursville Area High School.
This fall, Kurtz will pursue a doctorate of physical therapy at Slippery Rock University.
Amy Jo Peasley
Amy Jo Peasley, daughter of Aldas and Stacey Shady of Mill Hall and George Peasley Jr. of Mill Hall, graduated with a doctorate in medicine from West Virginia University School of Medicine on May 13.
Peasley was a recipient of the Mountaineer Medical scholarship and also earned the American Medical Women's Association Glasgow-Rubin Certificate in recognition of fourth-year female students demonstrating overall academic excellence.
In June, Peasley will enter a residency in pediatrics at Ohio State University's Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Karyn Ray Fabo
On May 11, Karyn Ray Fabo graduated summa cum laude from Campbell University, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Buies Creek, N.C., with a doctorate of pharmacy and a master of business administration.
She received the Gerald M. Stahl Pharmacy Practice Faculty Award. She is the daughter of Raymond and Kathy Reigle Fabo of Spring Lake, N.C.
Her grandparents are the late James L. and Shirley A. Fabo of Williamsport, and Anna L. Goff and the late Charles R. Reigle of Lewisburg.
