Announcement has been made of the engagement of Michelle L. Royer, Linden, and Joshua Ray Schoonover, Lock Haven.
An Aug. 4 wedding at Lycoming Christian Church, Linden, is being planned.
Royer is the daughter of Lori and David Royer, Linden. She graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School, 2006, and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in special education from Lock Haven University in 2010. She is employed as a substitute teacher for local school districts. She also is employed as a part-time sales associate at Woolrich Outlet Store, Woolrich.

Schoonover is the son of Cheryl and Raymond Schoonover, Lock Haven. He graduated from Central Mountain High School, Mill Hall, in 2007. He is employed by Lycoming Valley Railroad as an engineer-trainsman.
