Mr. and Mrs. John D. Peck, DuBoistown, observed their 50th wedding anniversary May 26, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Monsignor Frank P. McHugh at Annunciation Roman Catholic Church. They are members of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, South Williamsport.
Mrs. Peck, the former Elvera Rose Formica, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Bertha M. (Telfer) and Anthony M. Formica Sr. She graduated from the former St. Joseph High School, in 1957 and Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing in 1960. She was employed at Divine Providence Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital, Lancaster, Williamsport Hospital and retired from Susquehanna Health in 1999.

Mr. Peck, a native of Williamsport, is the son of the late Emeline (Hamm) and Irvin Peck. He graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1954; Stevens Trade School, Lancaster, in 1957; Millersville State Teachers College in 1963; received a master's degree from Western Maryland College, Westminster, Md., in 1971; and received a principal certificate from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, in 1981. He was employed as a teacher and administrator in the Williamsport Area School District and retired in 1993.
They are the parents of two sons, Matthew, South Williamsport, and Michael, Williamsport; and three daughters, Amy Maneval, Cogan Station; Lisa Andres, Monrovia, Md.; and Michele Davidson, Leola.
In honor of their anniversary, an open house celebration, hosted by their children and spouses, was held May 26 at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, South Williamsport, where a mass was said in their honor.
