Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hartranft, Montgomery, observed their 50th wedding anniversary, Saturday, May 26, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Bruce Stutzman at Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Dewart. They are members of Clinton Baptist Church, Montgomery.
Mrs. Hartranft, the former Donna Marie Barrett, is a native of McEwensville. She is the daughter of the late Thelma and Homer Barrett. She graduated in 1960 from Warrior Run High School, Turbotville. She is a self-employed seamstress.
Mr. Hartranft, a native of Montgomery, is the son of Shirley Hartranft, Watsontown, and the late Philip Hartranft. He graduated in 1960 from the former Montgomery Clinton High School, Montgomery, now Montgomery Area High School. He served in the Marine Corps from 1960 to 1980 and in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1968. He retired in 2007 from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of service.
They are the parents of two daughters, Debra Gresh and Susan Cotner, both of Montgomery.
There are four grandchildren.
