Announcement has been made of the engagement of Sara Bowes and Travis Blaschke, both of Huntsville, Ala.
A May 27 wedding in Destin, Fla., is being planned.
Bowes is the daughter of Michael Bowes, and Shirley and Robert Bloom, all of Lock Haven. She graduated from the former Lock Haven High School, now Central Mountain High School, Lock Haven, in 1998. She received a bachelor's degree in computer engineering with a minor in electrical engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y., in 2002. She is employed by Raytheon, Huntsville, as an electrical engineer.

TRAVIS BLASCHKE
Blaschke is the son of Ellen and Stephen Blaschke, Spokane, Wash. He graduated from Shadle Park High School, Spokane, in 1999 and received a bachelor's degree in business management from Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, Wash., in 2003. He is employed by the Army in Huntsville as an aviation officer and UH-60L black hawk pilot. He was commissioned in 2003 and served in Afghanistan in 2004, 2005 and 2012 and in Iraq in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Air Medal.
