Announcement has been made of the engagement of Cortney Coutts and Ryan Benis, both of Williamsport.
A June 22, 2013 wedding at New Covenant United Church of Christ is being planned.
Coutts is the daughter of Stephen Coutts and Jeannette and Kenneth Mayle, all of Barstow, Calif. She graduated from Barstow High School in 2007 and from Everest College, Ontario, Calif., in 2008. She is employed by Rite Aid as a pharmacy technician.

Benis is the son of Jennifer and David Benis, both of Jersey Shore. He graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School in 2003. He graduated from Edinboro University in 2007 and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in early childhood and special education from Lock Haven University.
