Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Metzger, Montoursville, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary May 19, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Robert Lundy at Bethel United Methodist Church, Montoursville.
Mrs. Metzger, the former Lois Jean Kreidler, is a native of Montoursville. She is the daughter of the late Ruth and Richard Kreidler. She graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 1954. She retired in 1989 after almost 29 years of service at GTE Sylvania, as a laborer. She was then employed by ManorCare as a certified nursing assistant and worked in home health until 1994.

Mr. Metzger, a native of Danville, is the son of the late Hattie and Henry Metzger. He graduated from Danville Area High School in 1957. He served in the Army for three years and received an honorable discharge in 1964. He then served in the Army reserves for six years. He retired in 2000 from Milton Steel and Supply after 34 years of service as a lead welder.
They are the parents of three daughters, Carrie Mosteller and Cheryl Angle, both of Montoursville; and Loretta Maines, Morrisdale.
There are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a party, hosted by their daughters, is being planned for May 20 at the family home.
