Linde M. Kennedy, of Warrensville, passed away on April 29, 2012, at The Gatehouse after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born March 5, 1950, in London, England, a daughter of the late Herbert E.W. and Rose Thatcher Dubinka. She was also predeceased by a sister, Susan.
Linde was a 1968 graduate of Montoursville High School and also graduated from the former Williamsport Area Community College (now Penn College). She retired from Construction Specialties, Inc. in Muncy, Pa., after 41 years.
She loved anything to do with enjoying nature, hiking, kayaking, swimming, skiing and most other outdoor activities.
Linde is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Gary L.; a daughter, Sarah of Pittsburgh; mother-in-law, Marjorie Kennedy; sister-in-law, Shelly (Keith) Jordan; brother-in-law, Terry (Sherry) Kennedy; and nieces and nephews, Patti (Denny) Barclay, Erich (Misty) Emick, Justin (Stephanie) Jordan, Gentry (Darren) Delaney, Amber (Adam) Kennedy and Brian Kennedy.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, with Rev. Kenneth E. Wagner-Pizza officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Thursday morning at the church from 10 to 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the Susquehanna Health Cancer Center or to The Gatehouse, both c/o Susquehanna Health Foundation, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701 or favorite charity or organization of your choice.
