Announcement has been made of the engagement of Natalie L. Barto and Jason M. Smith, both of Cogan Station.
An Oct. 6 wedding at the Priestley-Savidge House, Northumberland, is being planned.
Barto is the daughter of Joni Case, Cogan Station, and Bruce Barto, Danville. She graduated from Louis E. Dieruff High School, Allentown, in 2002. She received a bachelor's degree in secondary education and chemistry from Kutztown University in 2006 and a master's degree in education from Cabrini College, Radnor, in 2009. She is employed by Montoursville Area School District as a teacher.

Smith is the son of Deborah and C.W. Smith, Williamsport. He graduated from Loyalsock Township High School in 1999, and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2003. He is employed by HB Rentals, Mill Hall, as an assistant district manager.
