Library to hold poetry class

MUNCY - The Muncy Public Library, 108 S. Main St., will offer a "Poetry with Pizzaz" class for teens and tweens from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday.

April is National Poetry Month, and to celebrate, reading specialist and published poet, Holly Howrilla will visit the library.

She will instruct the young poets on writing a poem on a certain topic and will create an accompanying picture for their poem.

Advance registration is required and can be done by calling the library at 546-5014.

Relay For Life circus event set

JERSEY SHORE - A circus-themed fair with fun, food, games for all ages will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Allegheny and Glover streets.

Admission is free, and all funds raised through food purchases and game participation will benefit the Relay For Life of Jersey Shore.

5k fun run-walk to benefit pool

LEWISBURG - The "Lewisburg Pool Pass Project 5K fun run-walk" and Zumbathon will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Herhard Fieldhouse, Bucknell University.

All proceeds will benefit reduced pool passes for families for the Lewisburg Community Pool.

On-site registration and check-in begins at 9:15 a.m. There is a registration fee. This will be in celebration of the lives of Assunda Rotolo and Les Davis Jr., who drowned in the Susquehanna River in August 2009.

Relay For Life team to host fundraiser

LINDEN - A "Pin down a cure" bowling party fundraiser for Relay For Life will be held beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at Harvest Moon Bowling Lanes.

A registration donation includes three games of bowling. The event will feature raffles, prizes a 50-50 drawing and food. All proceeds will benefit Guys N Gals Relay For Life team.

Herb guild to hold meeting

The Williamsport Herb Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Covenant-Central Presbyterian Church, 807 W. Fourth St.

Mary Ginter will present "Thymes I have known." She is a guild member with experience in growing and using herbs. Parking is available in the rear of the church.

Women's club to hold April luncheon

MILL HALL - The Lock Haven Christian Women's Club will hold their April luncheon entitled, "Baubles, Bangles, Beads and Bling," at noon Wednesday at Aungst's Family Restaurant.

The baubles, bangles, beads and bling will be the focus of a fashion show at the luncheon. Jewelry accessories will compliment an outfit for each month of the year.

Some of those attending the luncheon will be the models.

Providing the jewelry accessories and narrative will be Gloria Feralio, who also will provide the special music for the day.

Feralio will be the speaker for the luncheon as well. She is from Woodbury, N.J., and will relate, "The Untold Story of an Old Movie Junkie."

Bus trip to benefit Jersey Shore team

JERSEY SHORE - A "day on your own" in New York City is planned for April 28.

There is a fee for the tickets and all proceeds will benefit the Relay For Life of Jersey Shore.

The bus will leave the Williamsport K-mart parking lot at 7 a.m. and will drop off all participants at Radio City Music Hall.

Participants will spend about 8 1/2 hours in the city. For tickets, call 398-3103.
