Williamsport Sun-Gazette

The Daughters of the American Revolution card party held March 27 at the Woman's Club was well attended with lunch served to more than 65 women.

Raffle and door prizes were given away, along with a cake and floral centerpiece.

Regent Marilee Sholtis and Good Citizen Chairwoman Crystal Gansel introduced the judges' choice for the Good Citizen Award, John Michael Goetz of Montgomery Area High School, who read his prize-winning essay to the group.

The program was presented by Ruth Rode, retired teacher, who discussed the vistas, trails and tributaries in the Loyalsock Valley watershed.

The Tuesday meeting program will be presented by Michael Kuriga, a master licensed falconer in Lycoming County.
