Mr. and Mrs. Richard Ferrier, South Williamsport, will observe their 60th wedding anniversary April 5, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. John Sensenig at Lycoming Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Ferrier is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Aldine and Walter Sweigert Davis. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1947, and from the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 and again in 1957 for nurse anesthesia. She retired in 1995 from the former Williamsport Hospital, now Williamsport Regional Medical Center, after 45 years of service.

Mr. Ferrier, a native of South Williamsport, is the son of the late Naomi Groom Ferrier and Roy R. Ferrier. He attended South Williamsport Area High School. He served in the Navy during World War II from 1945 to 1946 and in the Army during the Korean War from 1949 to 1952. He retired as the owner and operator of South Side Trim Shop.
They are the parents of two daughters, Nancy Hornberger, DuBoistown, and Leslie, Asbury Park, N.J., and a son, Wayne, Johnson City, N.Y.
There are six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In honor of their anniversary, a family dinner at Country Cupboard, Lewisburg, and a trip to Costa Rica are being planned.
