Events to raise funds for burial, scholarship

Joshua "Josh" Andy, 19, of South Williamsport, was killed in a car accident March 7 on Old Montgomery Pike Road in Armstrong Township

Two events are being planned to raise money for the Andy family for burial costs and to establish a scholarship in Joshua's name. .

Joshua was the son of Andreas "Kelly" and Kimberly L. Miller Andy. He was a 2011 graduate of South Williamsport Area High School and a member of Agape Fellowship.

A musician, Josh loved playing his guitar and writing his own music. He also played the piano and enjoyed going to the Ground Floor for concerts.

The concerts are organized by his friend, Lee Fenstamaker.

The first event will begin at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Ground Floor, 34 E. Fourth St., and will feature six acoustic groups.

The second event will begin at 3 p.m. April 7 at the Ground Floor and is called "Occupy the Pit." This heavy-metal concert will include about 10 bands and is being organized by Fenstamaker and Kevin Pool.
