Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miranda Lynn Packer and James Kenneth Cash Fretwell, both of Williamsport.
A Sept. 22 wedding at Immaculate Conception Church is being planned.
Packer is the daughter of Tammy and Michael Packer, Williamsport. She graduated from the former Bishop Neumann High School, now St. John Neumann Regional Academy, in 2006. She is employed by Beth's Grooming as a dog groomer.

Fretwell is the son of Rhonda Hall, Hillsborough, N.C., and James Fretwell, Pittsboro, N.C., He attended Orange High School, Hillsborough, N.C. and is employed by Pepsi, as a truck driver. He served active duty in the Army from 2004 to 2008 and did a tour in Iraq from 2005 to 2006.
