Mr. and Mrs. David D. Talada, Montoursville, will observe their 56th wedding anniversary today, March 18, 2012.
They were married at Powell United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Talada, the former Ruth Pauline Brown, is a native of Powell. She is the daughter of the late Lucertia Herring and the late Willis M. Brown. She graduated from Towanda Area High School in 1955. She retired from Montoursville Area School District in 1999.

Mr. Talada, a native of Powell, is the son of the late Gladys and Malcolm Talada. He graduated from Towanda Area High School in 1952 and retired in 1997 from the former Montour Oil Service Co., now Superior Oil Co.
They are the parents of two daughters, Lisa Seyler, Williamsport, and Denise Andrew, Cogan Station, and a son, David, Montgomery.
There are six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
