Mr. and Mrs. Robert "Bob" Rishel, Allenwood, observed their 60th wedding anniversary Feb. 23, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. J.W. Dean in Oriole.
They are members of St. James Lutheran Church, Rauchtown.

Mrs. Rishel, the former Esther "Bess" I. Rauch, is a native of Nippenose Valley. She is the daughter of the late Eula Brimmer Rauch Stebbins and the late Ralph A. Rauch Sr.
Mr. Rishel, a native of Loganton, is the son of the late Dorothy Confer Rishel and the late Jonathan Lee Rishel. He served in the Army during the Korean War as an engineer. He retired in 1992 from PPL Electric Utilities Corp.
They are the parents of two daughters, Peggy, Newport, and Edie, Butler, and a son, James, Loganton.
There are six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
