WELLSBORO -The Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Gmeiner Arts and Cultural Center, 134 Main St.
After a business meeting, there will be a show and tell of members' recent quilt projects. Ellen Reilly will introduce members to the Quilts of Valor Foundation.
Reilly is the coordinator of the Southern Tier chapter of the Quilts of Valor Foundation, a national foundation made up of hundreds of local chapters that provide quilts to combat veterans who were wounded in war.
As of January, the Quilt of Valor Foundation has awarded more than 60,000 quilts. The Southern Tier chapter has opportunities for quilters and non-quilters to get involved in this effort.
