Fans say Fenway pics bring smiles

Some of Fenway's "groupies" had the following to say to Harold and Lisa Bitler via Facebook and email about their dog:

Harold's Aunt Romayne Swisher of Montgomery is a big fan of Fenway's pictures. She has said that she looks in the paper each day for a picture.

"She wrote us just last week that 'that there is so much awful crime and wrecks, etc. ... it is a pleasure to see his cute pictures'." She keeps an album of the paper clippings, and it brings much joy and smiles.

Lisa Bitler said that as she prepared for her next trip to Rochester General, Fenway wanted to reassure her that even dogs have issues with exposing their back ends in hospital gowns.

Mary Stebbins, a teacher at Westfield Area Elementary School, is a longtime fan and fellow contributor for outfits and themes for Fenway.

Chanda Fritz said, "We subscribe to the Sun-Gazette, and always enjoy seeing photos of Fenway and what he's up to! Keep those photos coming!"

Shirley sends the following: 'I am amazed at how this dog poses for pictures. I have never met him, but I feel like I know him by just receiving all those wonderful pictures of him. A dog who thinks he is a person - I love him!' "

Shirley from Beaver Dams, N.Y., said, "It's true, what a ham he is and I realized I've never met him either, but feel like I know him ... he's almost human!!!! Haaaaa!"

Lana Thrash said, "Fenway's pictures speak for themselves. I look forward to receiving his holiday and event pictures. They make me smile and make my day. With the world's troubling times, it's just nice to have something to smile about. I even put his pictures on my computer so the first thing I see when I turn my computer on is Fenway, then I smile!"

Julie Smith Catanese said, "My kids love to get the holiday pics of Fenway so we can use them as our desktop background! He's such a cutie!! Lovin' Fenway!!!"
