HUGHESVILLE - The Susquehanna Valley Quilters will hold its bi-annual quilt show March 2, 3 and 4 at the Hughesville Fire Hall.
This year's show is titled "Garden of Quilts" and there are about 200 entries from large bed quilts to miniature wall hangings. Some of the entries fall into the category of "wearables" - meaning any quilted pieces of clothing.
The show will feature quilts that have been pieced and quilted by hand to those that are pieced and quilted by machine. The quilts range from functionally traditional to "painting with fabrics and threads."
Vendors will be selling quilt-related items including fabrics, patterns, quilting notions, books, quilt racks, sewing machines and other items related to quilting. There also will be a "quilter's corner" where notions, books, fabric, items made or donated by guild members and other miscellaneous items can be bought. Lunch will be available.
Hours for the show are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
