LEWISBURG - The Public Library for Union County will be hosting its 23rd annual auction, Flowers & Fantasy, at 5 p.m. on March 17 in the Terrace Room at the Langone Center on the campus of Bucknell University.
This fundraising event will feature complimentary wine and beer, a deluxe dinner buffet, and silent and live auctions.
The annual auction is one of the primary fundraising events for the Public Library for Union County, which is the headquarters for the three-member Union County Library System.
Attending this event is a great way for people to meet area residents and business owners who support the library.
Tickets are $50 each and will be available for purchase March 1. All proceeds from this event will be used to augment the collection of book and materials available for the community to borrow.
In conjunction with the auction, the Public Library for Union County also is selling raffle tickets for a 32GB iPad2 with WiFi and built-in camera. The winning ticket will be drawn during the auction; however, you do not need to be present to win. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 and may be bought at the library's circulation desk.
For more information on the annual auction or the iPad2 raffle, stop by the library at 255 Reitz Blvd., Lewisburg, or call 523-1172.
