Technology Futures of North Central Pennsylvania (TechFutures) will hold a science festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Field House on the Pennsylvania College of Technology campus.
Although the science festival is geared toward elementary through high school students, the event is free and open to the public.
Transportation will be provided to and from Cochran and Stevens Elementary Schools for all students and their families. Two school busses will run nonstop shuttles from Cochran and Stevens to and from Penn College starting at 5 p.m. and will continuously run until 9 p.m. Transportation is available to the general public.
The science festival is an annual event that celebrates all things related to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
The festival will provide a fun opportunity for our young people and for the community to come together to discover, explore, discuss, be amazed and be inspired.
Local companies will host hands-on interactive activities, exhibits and stage shows that are geared toward our youth, as well as give the community some insight into the exciting and innovative products they're showcasing. Students, teachers and families are invited to participate in a variety of hands-on science and engineering activities.
